Outside the Box High School Graduation Initiative Program

Open to any eligible high school student needing the assistance.

Program Description:

The Outside the Box High School Graduation Initiative was developed to provide a comprehensive, non- traditional approach to increasing the graduation rate of students identified as being at risk of dropping out of school because of poor academic performance, chronic truancy, and personal and social issues.

The Outside the Box High School Graduation Initiative Program provides a holistic approach to improving the high school graduation rate among at-risk students by addressing the personal, social, and educational development needs of participating students in an effort to eliminate the barriers that interfere with academic success.

The Services provided:

  • Academic and tutorial assistance
  • Alternative placement for students suspended from school
  • Life skills, social and peer  development
  • Appropriate decision making
  • Mentoring
  • Job readiness/ Employment skills
